Who's a HERO?

Updated: Feb 1, 2018

VETERANS will be our first HERO in a long list of HEROES.

America is what it is today because of their unselfish and dedicated service. Men and woman who take an oath to defend our Constitution and the rights entitled to citizens of these United States of America. Freedom is never "free". Many give their lives in order for us to live in a country that allows us the freedom of speech, opinions, where we want to get an education, where we want to work, where we want to live, what foods we eat.....these are just a few of the decisions we make everyday without oppression and dictatorship.

We value their service and are proud of each and every one of our soldiers. So the word VETERAN is not just a word but much more. Unfortunately, many citizens do not understand or know how much our veterans have given. Some have given the ultimate by giving their life while others have returned home with physical injuries that have forever altered their lives. Please also remember the other soldiers who return home physically but are emotionally traumatized. Their injuries can't be displayed for us to see their wounds but many are just as debilitated. These are our truly forgotten veterans. They are often too proud to let others know of their internal suffering and will often not tell even their medical doctors for fear of being labeled or even worse declared almost incompetent. They fear if declared "incompetent" they will have their firearms taken away. We've been personally told that not being able to keep their firearm is the one of the worst because while they may not be actively serving they are still and will always be a soldier, ready and willing should they be called to serve again.

"To identify a HERO who has served or is serving, a person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for brave deeds and noble qualities. A person who has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal".

What can we offer our HEROES.....we would truly like to identify and honor them by transferring/teaching them the knowledge of building their own natural material homes. Ideally, we want to secure acreage, collect materials needed to build a home and then establish "teams" working side by side to complete the construction each others homes. Building a natural home does not require a lot of skills...... just desire, time and passion.

Why a natural building home? see that section for more details.

Heads up everyone....found another local HERO. Here's the link to his website:

www.combatflags.com and he has a Facebook page under same name. Dan really states the issues vets face upon returning home and the importance of comradeship with other veterans to help one another.
